As the “We Love Cinema!” tour continues its journey across Europe, the Ushio team is on the way to Spain’s City of Counts. The Centre Convencions Internacional Barcelona (CCIB) hosts Ushio at CineEurope, from 4–7 October 2021. Following last years’ online event and the subsequent delay this year, Ushio’s entire European Cinema Sales team will be in attendance. The Ushio team will be found throughout the exhibition at booth 200.

Representing 42,000 screens across 38 countries, the CineEurope conference and trade show is a vital stop on the movie circuit, as it brings together the pick of the European. Usually held during the summer, cinema chiefs, studio executives, key industry suppliers, and movie stars descend on Barcelona for exclusive screenings, product unveilings, and networking opportunities.
Celebrating recovery progress at CineEurope 2021 as face-to-face exhibitions return
The ecosystem of our Cinema industry has taken a beating since the last face-to-face CineEurope, in 2019. Coming off the back of the Avengers finale, in April that year, screens were at full capacity. Now, that last blockbuster season feels like a distant memory.
Since then, diligent screen owners and their staff tirelessly adapted to ever-changing regulations and closures. From popcorn producers to soft drink sellers, production studios to lamp manufacturers – and, of course, the vital network of distributors across Europe – we have all been affected in some way.
The worst is behind us, but some screens may never reopen their doors again. The impact will be felt for years to come. Those who continue to rebuild during the post-lockdown recovery period will need to rely on each other.
