EmitFit: IR Mounting System

The application of IR lamps across fields such as catering, RTP, and PET blow moulding inspired the development of Ushio EmitFit – a solution to minimise production slowdown and simplify lamp replacement procedures. This new edition reduces the footprint of mounting systems and presents significant possibility for mount customisation, allowing OEMs to devote as much space to IR heat treatment as possible.

As the successor to the popular EasyFit line, which remains available, the upgraded quick-release ceramic base allows swift lamp exchange without costing a moment of production time. The main benefit of the new design is the reduced size of the light fitting, which maximises the area which can be devoted to the IR emitting section of the device. The EmitFit series simplifies a time-consuming and specialist task by introducing the following advantages:

• While inserting the EmitFit IR lamp in the lamp holder, the emitter is both electrically integrated and mechanically mounted at the same time
• Personnel do not require technical training in order to safely exchange the IR emitter
• Supporting springs hold the EmitFit IR lamp tightly in the lamp holder; therefore, any mounting position is possible
• The EmitFit technology can be combined with all single-tube IR lamps – including customised ones. EmitFit is individually adjustable and combines convenience and functionality
• IR lamps with an additional outer tube/jacket can be adapted to work with EmitFit
• Owners of the previous IR mounting system, EasyFit, can rest assured that the old style lamp fittings will still be available exclusively from Ushio
