Oude Meer, the Netherlands (March 2022) – René Polak has been appointed to the position of Sales Director Horticulture at the Ushio Europe Group. With over sixteen years of experience in the horticultural sector, Mr. Polak succeeds Dragan Šimšić, who left Ushio after six years to take up a new position elsewhere.
Mr. Polak has been Ushio’s Horticulture Sales Manager for the past four years. In this time, he was able to build a strong and dedicated customer base, with both end-users and large global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
In his new position, René will further strengthen Ushio’s market position as one of the few high-quality component manufacturers for the horticultural sector with its own, fully in-house horticultural Research and Development (R&D) department. Ushio’s R&D team is primarily-based in Steinhöring, Bavaria, Germany, while production takes place exclusively at Ushio factories across Europe, with principle facilities in Poland and Germany.
