For decades, our intensive research and engineering has seen us applying light to life and industries across the world. Now, more than ever, we needed to take the lead in focusing our efforts on helping humanity recover from a devastating couple of years. But, what role can “light” play? What are the potential applications of light? Ushio has been searching for answers since its foundation, because it is our firm belief that light has the power to ensure a safer future in a multitude of ways.
The unified expertise among our colleagues and collaborators has led to the development of a new ultraviolet (UV) technology that can not only sterilise surfaces and air through the power of light, but it can protect the people occupying the space in which it is deployed.
That technology has evolved into the Care222® filtered far UV-C disinfection modules that we have been rolling out over the past year. The Care222® series is a line of krypton chloride (KrCl) excimer lamp modules that are fitted with an integrated filter for highly-effective microbial reduction. Care222® modules deliver a narrow-band of ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) to kill bacteria and inactivate a vast range of viruses, without damaging human cells and tissues.
