UV Meters

Unimeter: Digital UV Accumulation and Intensity Meters

Ushio has developed the Unimeter series of UV meters to measure the intensity of ultraviolet radiation. Additionally, the irradiance (temperature) is also registered. Ushio Europe is ready to supply the high-end UIT-250 and UIT-201 UV meters. The former has a wider measurement range, allows the measurement of energy doses, and has the capability to transfer the data to a PC for further analysis.

The compact nature of the Unimeter devices means they are suited to performing in a range of conditions and environments, with common applications including UV curing, disinfection, and other irradiation cleansing systems. Various sensors are available; the most popular sensors have centre wavelengths of 254 nm, 365 nm, and 410 nm.

Applications

  • Measuring UV radiation levels for wafers, printed circuit boards (PCB), or determination of UV doses for ink or lacquer curing
  • Various other applications in the scientific market

Benefits

  • Universal meter for intensity and dose
  • Various sensors

Especially for

  • Curing applications
  • Cleaning applications
  • Research and Analysis

Unimeter UIT-250: Ushio Accumulated UV Meter

Ushio’s flagship unit for detection and measurement of UV radiation is the Unimeter UIT-250. This UV meter can be set up for the measurement of temperatures or one of five wavelength ranges. The in-built detector unit can be switched out for one with the required central wavelength. Currently, Ushio can provide sensors with central wavelengths of 172 nm, 254 nm, 313 nm, 365 nm, and 405 nm.

Depending on your need for portability, UIT-250 can be powered by a set of three AAA batteries or with the optional AC adapter. The cable between the UIT-250 housing and the photoreceptor is delivered with a two metre length as standard, however this can be extended.

UIT-250 is designed to work as a standalone device with a built-in memory chip allowing up to 2 minutes of irradiance distribution measurement, but this can be extended to 4 minutes with the use of a recorder. Using the PC Serial Communication port, several metrics can be tracked such as irradiation distribution, confirmation of samples per second, and measurement of temperature/irradiance.

Unimeter UIT-201: Ushio Digital UV Intensity Meter

Ushio Europe is able to supply the Unimeter UIT-201 UV meter which is designed for UV radiation temperature measurement. The interchangeable detectors mean that you can switch between wavelength regions at ease. Currently, the compatible sensors have central wavelengths of 365 nm and 405 nm.

Depending on your need for portability, UIT-201 can be powered by a set of three AAA batteries or with the optional AC adapter. The cable between the UIT-201 housing and the photoreceptor is delivered with a two metre length as standard, however this can be extended.
