Laser Diodes: Marking
Larger CAN packages of +5.6 mm diameter
The part numbers of Ushio Europe’s laser diodes are displayed in an abbreviated form.
For larger CAN packages where the diameter is 5.6 mm or more, a 7~8 digit alphanumerical combination is laser marked on cap.
1st and 2nd columns: Product identification code If code is one character, 1st line is 3 characters.
3rd column: Year code. The year code is the last number of the produced year. (ex; “21″ means the year 2021)
4th column: Month code. The month code is marked with an alphabetical character. (see Table-1)
5th to 8th column: Ushio internal management code
Smaller CAN packages of 3.8 mm diameter
For smaller CAN packaged where the diameter measures 3.8 mm, a 6 digit alphanumerical combination is laser marked on cap.
