Released in April of this year, our new red laser diode for laser cinema projectors conducts the world’s highest pulse optical output power of 3.5W when operated in the optimal temperature range of -10°C to 45°C. In addition, and for those wishing to implement continuous oscillation rather than pulsed intervals, the HL63520HD also features CW operation to another world best at 2.4W. The groundbreaking 638nm wavelength laser diode enters the market at a time when cinemas are grappling with the prospect of lowering the total cost of projector ownership. While conventional cinema projector lamps may last up to 2,100 hours, this new laser diode stays strong for over 20,000 hours. It is clear to see that while the initial outlay for such modern equipment may be higher, the value for money comes back in the form of its unassailable longevity.

Ushio bring light to life at LASER World of PHOTONICS
LASER World of Photonics is expected to be a great success all round after a fantastic turn out in 2017. A record 32,700 visitors representing 73 countries attended the trade fair, which featured 1,290 exhibitors. Almost a quarter of those visitors were responsible for application related R&D, which is exactly the type of delegation that Ushio caters for.
