Ushio’s anti-reflection (AR) coated laser diodes are manufactured with a front-facet reflectivity of less than 0.1%, achieved through our unique chip design and advanced coating technology.
Unlike conventionally coated Fabry-Perot laser diodes, our LDs offer a wide gain bandwidth, making them ideal for external-cavity lasers with tunable wavelengths.
In combination with diffraction gratings or interference filters, they support laser oscillation in defined wavelength modes with narrow linewidths. These features make them particularly suitable for applications in quantum technologies – such as optical lattice clocks, laser cooling, and precision spectroscopy.
We offer laser diodes in three wavelengths tailored for quantum applications: 671 nm, 689 nm, and 698 nm.
Ushio’s chips deliver a highly reliable optical output power of 200 mW and operate at ambient temperatures of up to 75 °C. The gain peak spans 10 nm and can be precisely tuned via temperature control.
