Water cooled xenon lamps
UXW lamps are high-pressure xenon lamps utilising water-cooled electrodes and were developed specifically for use in giant screen theatres and solar simulators. They are acknowledged by IMAX(TR) and Iwerks(TR) large-scale screen theatres. For space research, solar simulators are used to heat artificial satellites and their components in vacuum for the purpose of environmental testing. UXW lamps are available for input powers ranging from 10,000W to 30,000W.
