One-stop shopping for approved NEC lamps
NEC Display Solutions (hereafter NEC) and USHIO INC. (USHIO) have agreed that USHIO will exclusively take care of the distribution of the original DXL Xenon lamps for NEC digital cinema projectors, the only complete range of lamps certified by NEC. The agreement is effective since 1st of May 2010.
USHIO is the only lamp manufacturer that is approved by all OEMs for their digital cinema projectors. Consequently USHIO assures convenient one-stop-shopping thru a dense global network of dealers, minimizing lead-times and hassles for the film theatres.
Nils Büker, USHIO’s Sales Director for EMEA, states: “We are happy that our good relation with NEC resulted in a deal that is favorable for our common customers, the lamp distributors and film theatres. We gained our position as a market leader due to the outstanding performance and reliability of our lamps. This is in accordance with our philosophy that theatre managers have more important things to take care of than lamps.”
