Medium Pressure Mercury Lamps
Medium pressure mercury lamps, often named as UV-lamps, belong to the general group of gas discharge lamps. According to DIN 5031-7, the UV-radiation is the part of the electromagnetic spectrum between 100 and 380 nm. Nevertheless, these lamps also emit in blue range of the spectrum.
Unlike in filament lamps, a gas discharge (light arc) is built up between two electrodes, which are themselves in line with the emitter. Generally, USHIO produces UV-lamps with up to 3 m overall length, different spectra and with manifold power levels. We're able to produce pinch sealed UV lamps, too. This technology reduces the overall length at an unchanged electrode distance.
